Bångbro is a small village a few kilometers south of Kopparberg.
The name Bångbro derived in all probability from the mountain man, Jan Erson Bang, who moved to Falun in 1647, cleared land and built at Without Heden.
Here in the area was already broken in the 1500s, the first ore from a reluctant bedrock. A tradition that one can discern traces of the form of well-preserved foundries and mines. A mining that it currently is running again.
Here you will also find the special Bergslagsresan Nature in its full glory. The deep forests, babbling rivers and the beautiful game fish rich forest ponds, which offers tranquility and mystery.
